Data Analyst, Power PBI Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to enhance business operations and facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Convert business requirements into intuitive, user-friendly visualizations and data models.

• Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (Product, Finance, Ops, Marketing) to establish KPIs and reporting needs.

• Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and validate data from the data warehouse.

• Construct and optimize Power BI data models, focusing on relationships, measures (DAX), and performance tuning.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all reporting solutions.

• Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business initiatives.

• Promote governance and best practices for report design, data definitions, and metric standardization.

• Oversee Power BI Service components, including workspaces, apps, and deployment pipelines.

• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access controls.

• Assist with dataflows and OneLake integration for scalable data access and reuse.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in a data analyst or BI-focused role.

• Strong expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report development, performance optimization).

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and analysis.

• Experience in translating business needs into insightful dashboards and reports.

• In-depth understanding of data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

• Nice to Have:

• Experience with Power BI Service, including governance and workspace management.

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.

• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.

• Basic experience with Python or advanced analytics (optional).
