Data Analyst – Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within an expanding Payments sector that includes debit, credit, and cross-border payment solutions.

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to establish and confirm tracking requirements for the mobile application interface and transaction feed.

• Assist in analytics for new projects, such as the launch of Daily Banking, in addition to conducting ad-hoc in-depth analyses.

• Manage mobile analytics comprehensively — from requirements gathering to monitoring, funnel and drop-off analysis, research, and documentation.

• Take ownership of Transaction Feed analytics for the Salmon App, including standardization of merchant naming, transaction categorization, and logic for icon mapping.

• Create and sustain dashboards, reporting, and self-service analytics for Payments products covering debit, credit, and cross-border transactions.

• Track essential payment metrics to identify trends, gaps, and areas for enhancement.

• Assist in forecasting and financial reporting for credit products and bill payment processes.

• Present clear and concise stakeholder presentations that convert analysis into actionable decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years in data analytics, ideally within the fintech or payments industry.

• Proficient in SQL and experienced with BI and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar platforms).

• Knowledge of analytics instrumentation and event-based data architectures across mobile and web platforms.

• Proven experience with mobile analytics, including funnels, drop-off analysis, and tracking user behavior.

• Familiarity with transaction data, including payment flows, categorization, and data quality concerns.

• Capability to convert business inquiries into analytical frameworks and derive actionable insights.

• Preferred: experience with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools, along with forecasting or financial reporting experience, particularly in a fast-paced startup or rapidly growing product environment.
