Data Analyst – Data Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Spearhead analytical initiatives to foster data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

• Collect, analyze, and effectively visualize and present technical insurance data.

• Partner with data engineering, insurance product, claims, finance, and operations teams to enhance data integrity and streamline reporting capabilities using VBA, SQL, and Python.

• Convert intricate insurance data into clear and engaging insights for both technical and non-technical audiences through necessary reporting and data visualization.

• Perform in-depth data analysis, create analytical tools, provide tailored solutions to assist other departments in automating their workflows, and identify opportunities to improve business performance and operational efficiency.

• Offer ad hoc analytical support and research as needed to ensure Ledgebrook maintains data-driven precision in its operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in SQL and Excel (preferably including VBA and Power Query).

• Familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).

• Experience with or proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

• Background in modern databases, ideally with Snowflake.

• Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps, DataGrip / Cursor, and Jira would be advantageous.

• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.

• Experience navigating a startup environment that is fast-paced and characterized by uncertainty.

• Preferable: Experience with Property, Specialty, or Casualty insurance data, and a strong interest in AI and ML tools.
