Data Analyst – Business Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating business intelligence and analytics initiatives by collaborating with BI Developers, BI Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to convert business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for development.

• This position aids in the provision of reporting and analytical solutions by comprehending the data landscape, the flow of data through ETL/ELT processes, the modeling of data for reporting purposes, and the documentation of business requirements for technical implementation.

• The Data Analyst acts as an intermediary between business users and technical teams, assisting in defining report specifications, clarifying data logic, documenting source-to-target mappings, creating tickets ready for development, supporting testing phases, and ensuring that BI solutions conform to enterprise data standards and architectural frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may also be taken into account.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in roles such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar positions that support data, reporting, or analytics projects.

• Solid understanding of BI delivery processes, reporting needs, data models, and the design of analytical solutions.

• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Looker, or comparable platforms.

• Experience with data warehouses, relational databases, or cloud data technologies such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, or similar systems.

• Proficient in reading and writing SQL for data investigation, validation, requirements analysis, and troubleshooting purposes.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT principles, data pipelines, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data dependencies.

• Experience in generating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, technical specifications, and relevant documentation.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Desired domain experience includes healthcare, pharmacy, patient services, specialty pharmacy, hub services, payer/insurance, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated operational reporting settings.
