Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist sustainability consultants by preparing, organizing, and analyzing client data for carbon accounting and sustainability reporting.

• Review, clean, and transform unstructured client data sourced from Excel files, PDFs, scanned documents, operational reports, and exported system data.

• Consolidate various data formats into structured datasets and Excel reports for carbon modeling and reporting purposes.

• Identify inconsistencies, errors, and anomalies within the data, including missing information, incorrect units, duplicate entries, and unusual trends.

• Compare current client data against historical records and highlight any discrepancies for further investigation.

• Prepare summaries and reports that explain data issues, trends, and findings.

• Take charge of repetitive, data-intensive tasks to allow consultants to concentrate on higher-level consulting activities.

• Develop and enhance Excel-based tools, templates, and workflows.

• Conduct data quality checks prior to transferring data to Power BI reporting tools.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using technology and AI tools.

• Assist with AI-supported workflows, documentation, and repeatable processes.

• Collaborate with consultants and internal teams through Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Slack, and other collaborative tools.

• Continuously enhance data preparation methods, turnaround times, and delivery quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, reporting, auditing, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.

• Strong background in handling large, complex, and unstructured datasets.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, lookups, filtering, sorting, and data cleaning techniques.

• Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.

• Familiarity with analyzing operational, financial, customer, or business data.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, patterns, and unusual data behaviors.

• Experience with Excel, CSV, PDF, and scanned document formats.

• Capability to translate business requirements into structured data solutions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset towards process improvement.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with consultants and remote teams.

• Excellent written communication skills in English.

• Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar collaboration platforms.

• Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies comfortably.
