This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist in client delivery related to carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, research, and broader operational tasks.
• Analyze and refine raw client data sourced from utilities, logistics, finance, and operations, including electricity consumption, vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and annual expense reports.
• Merge data from diverse formats into organized Excel reports utilized in internal carbon modeling applications.
• Reorganize disorganized spreadsheets, transfer data from scanned or PDF files, and ensure data consistency by scope, location, date, and emission source.
• Identify and highlight anomalies and discrepancies, such as misaligned dates, unexpected usage surges, duplicate entries, or incorrect units.
• Create concise discrepancy reports or summaries to aid consultants in engaging with clients.
• Employ advanced Excel functionalities, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, filters, conditional formatting, and other data management techniques to enhance data structure, clarity, and overall quality.
• Assist carbon consultants by resolving data-related queries and collaborating via Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other internal communication platforms.
• Occasionally help in assigning emission factors (as applicable) or flag missing data that requires client input.
• Work closely with the consulting and delivery team to guarantee accurate, timely, and high-quality results for clients.
• Contribute to reducing data preparation turnaround times and ensuring high-quality reporting outcomes for external clients.
• Play a role in ongoing improvements to data preparation processes and operational efficiency.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, auditing, or financial analysis, preferably in a consulting setting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning, filtering, sorting, and proficient handling of large datasets.
• Experience with expense data, purchase ledgers, utility data, or similar financial and operational documentation.
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail, including the capacity to recognize unusual patterns, comprehend numerical relationships, and identify inconsistencies.
• Proficient in working with varying file formats such as Excel, PDF, and scanned documents, transforming them into structured datasets.
• Commercially aware with the capability to grasp business requirements and apply analytical reasoning to achieve practical client results.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects and datasets simultaneously while ensuring accuracy.
• Comfortable in a consulting or professional services context, managing various client priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams or Slack for effective internal collaboration and communication.
• Strong written communication skills in professional English, with the ability to articulate data-related issues clearly to internal stakeholders.
