Data & AI Platform Architect – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients on short to medium-term engagements addressing their big data challenges using the Databricks platform.

• Deliver data engineering, data science, and cloud technology initiatives that involve integrating with client systems, training, and various technical tasks to maximize the value derived from their data.

• Engage in a diverse range of impactful technical projects for customers, which may consist of designing and constructing reference architectures, crafting how-to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases.

• Assist strategic customers in executing transformative big data initiatives, including third-party migrations, encompassing the complete design, build, and deployment of leading big data and AI applications.

• Provide consultation on architecture and design; kickstart or implement customer projects that facilitate a successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.

• Offer an elevated level of support for customer operational challenges.

• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to ensure the technical aspects of the engagement are delivered to meet customer requirements.

• Partner with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and facilitate quick resolutions for engagement-specific product and support issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.

• Proficient in coding using either Python or Scala.

• Familiarity with two or more leading Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with expertise in at least one.

• Extensive experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and an understanding of Spark runtime internals.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for production deployments.

• Understanding of MLOps.

• Ability to design and deploy efficient end-to-end data architectures.

• Proven experience in technical project delivery, including managing scope and timelines.

• Strong documentation and white-boarding abilities.

• Experience in client interactions and conflict management.

• Develop skills in technical domains that support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to fulfill customer projects.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations 10% of the time.

• [Preferred] Databricks Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
