Damage Prevention & Training Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Safeguarding Metronet’s network by mitigating risks to underground facilities.

• Advocate for safe excavation practices and carry out damage investigations.

• Ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety protocols.

• Foster relationships with contractors and excavators.

• Oversee training initiatives and auditing processes.

• Assess field risks, recognize patterns, and devise proactive strategies.

• Perform safety audits and inspections to confirm compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with three (3+) years of pertinent experience (damage prevention, utility operations, construction, or EHS functions with investigative experience).

• Proficient understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as OSHA standards.

• Preferred certifications include Rescue/CPR, OSHA, confined space, MOT, and defensive driving.

• Openness to obtaining train-the-trainer certifications, OSHA training certificates, and necessary licenses.

• Experience in conducting training sessions in both group and individual formats, as frequent training is necessary.

• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
