Cybersecurity Platform Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute a work package assignment aimed at enhancing the cyber security framework for the Leidos enterprise.

• Evaluate security data sourced from enterprise tools such as log platforms, identity systems, and cloud services.

• Aid in the development of dashboards and reports to enhance security visibility.

• Record system configurations, access controls, and security protocols.

• Detect potential risks, gaps, or areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in troubleshooting and analysis initiatives.

• Communicate findings through clear and concise written summaries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• Fundamental understanding of networking and/or cybersecurity principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to articulate technical concepts effectively.

• Proficient in working independently in a remote or hybrid setting.

• Preferred familiarity with cybersecurity tools or concepts, such as logging platforms, identity systems, and cloud security.

• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Experience with data analysis or visualization tools like Excel or Power BI is preferred.

• A keen interest in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or Zero Trust architecture is preferred.

• Preferred coding experience in Python or other scripting languages.
