Cybersecurity Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Direct and oversee SOC analysts during the designated shift, ensuring compliance with procedures and performance standards.

• Act as the primary escalation point for urgent or complicated security incidents.

• Manage live monitoring, evaluation, and prioritization of security alerts from multiple security platforms.

• Confirm and ensure the thoroughness, precision, and uniformity of incident documentation and ticketing.

• Uphold adherence to playbooks, runbooks, and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Deliver shift handoff summaries and briefings to incoming teams and SOC leadership.

• Guide and mentor team members to foster ongoing skill enhancement and career development.

• Assist in the onboarding process for new analysts and ensure proper access to customer environments.

• Engage in operational planning and post-incident evaluations to pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate customer onboarding, configuration tuning, and custom setups.

• Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and advancements in security technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to work various schedules in a 24/7 SOC Environment.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations position, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Possession of one or more recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, CEH).

• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and other security tools and platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support teams in dynamic, high-stakes settings.

• Legally authorized to work in the US, EU, or APAC regions as assigned.
