This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the platform's security to fulfill and surpass the cybersecurity expectations of stakeholders.
• Develop and implement security architectures, controls, and technologies specifically for government systems.
• Direct vulnerability assessments, provide support for penetration testing, and conduct security engineering reviews.
• Create and uphold security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, etc.) required for ATO packages.
• Assist in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ongoing monitoring programs.
• Execute Zero Trust principles, identity management, and endpoint security solutions.
• Address security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and facilitate remediation efforts.
• Offer security guidance to development and infrastructure teams.
• Must possess an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an ISSO or Security Engineer on a DoD IL-4 or IL-5 ATO, including SSP authoring, POA&M management, and continuous monitoring.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800; experience with control inheritance from FedRAMP-authorized platforms is essential.
• Practical experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability management).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are required.
