CyberSecurity Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage security automations that enhance core security and identity processes throughout the organization.

• Implement comprehensive automated workflows for onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Streamline the vulnerability management lifecycle through automation.

• Create and sustain IAM and access management automations for provisioning and role-based access controls.

• Automate administrative security measures across cloud, SaaS, and identity platforms.

• Develop and manage SOAR and incident response automations to address common security events and alerts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise in Security Automation & Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and maintaining automation for security and identity workflows in cloud-centric environments.

• Strong programming and scripting capabilities (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) for automating APIs, workflows, and integrations.

• Experience managing automation in production settings with a focus on reliability, observability, and error management.

• Strong capability in Identity & Access Management Automation.

• Hands-on experience with automating IAM workflows, including user lifecycle management, role-based access control, and Just-In-Time access.

• Familiarity with IAM systems and identity providers, as well as their integration with HRIS and SaaS platforms.

• Ability to enforce least-privilege access and minimize standing privileges through automation.

• Solid expertise in Vulnerability Management Automation.

• Experience in automating vulnerability ingestion, enrichment, prioritization, and ticketing across various security tools.

• Strong understanding of vulnerability risk context, including severity, exploitability, and asset importance.

• Ability to design secure automations with appropriate access controls for sensitive security data.

• Proven track record in delivering SOAR & Incident Response Automation.

• Experience in designing and maintaining SOAR playbooks to automate detection enrichment and response actions.

• Capability to reduce manual incident response efforts through consistent, repeatable automation.

• Familiarity with integrating automation into SIEM, XDR, and alerting platforms.

• Experience in Secure Systems Integration & Operational Excellence.

• Proven ability to securely and reliably integrate APIs across cloud, SaaS, and security platforms.

• Demonstrates strong operational discipline, including logging, monitoring, documentation, and version control of automations.

• Proactively identifies opportunities to replace manual processes with scalable, automated solutions.
