Cyber Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Security Operations: Assist in the cybersecurity program, manage security tools, and develop, implement, and oversee security processes.

• Monitoring & Detection: Track security-related events, respond to alerts and incidents, and analyze logs to detect threats and anomalies.

• Incident Response: Lead cyber incident response efforts, collaborate with external incident response partners, conduct investigations, and perform advanced forensic analysis.

• Vulnerability Management: Oversee the comprehensive vulnerability management process, including assessments, analysis, reporting, prioritization, and coordinating remediation efforts.

• Cloud Security: Safeguard data and systems both on-premises and in the cloud; implement and support cloud-aware security architecture.

• Exposure Assessment: Evaluate cybersecurity risks of IT systems, conduct investigations, and prepare detailed reports on findings.

• Reporting & KPIs: Aid in the creation of cyber-related reports and KPIs, collecting and analyzing system-generated data for targeted audiences.

• Security Awareness: Facilitate the delivery of awareness programs, develop training, create campaigns, report outcomes, and provide recommendations.

• Policy Development: Assist in formulating, documenting, testing, and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards, and operational playbooks.

• Threat Intelligence: Keep abreast of the cybersecurity landscape, analyze industry trends, and assess potential impacts on technology systems and operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Cybersecurity Experience: At least 4 years of demonstrated cybersecurity experience in operational settings.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent combinations of training and experience may also be considered.

• Security Operations: Proven background in security operations; experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) is advantageous.

• Certifications: Preferred information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, GIAC).

• Technical Knowledge: Established understanding of anti-malware/endpoint protection, firewalls, email security, IPS, SIEM, Active Directory, Windows security, network security, disaster recovery, and incident response.

• Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with public cloud platforms, associated security tools, and cloud security architecture.

• Industry Standards: Knowledge of NIST, ISO, CIS, and other cybersecurity frameworks.

• Security Awareness: Experience in providing end-user security awareness training and assessments.

• Collaboration Tools: Strong knowledge of modern cloud-based productivity tools; familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying cybersecurity risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• English Fluency: Full professional proficiency is essential for articulating complex concepts in a cybersecurity/IT context.

• German Proficiency: Considered a significant asset for coordination with German teams.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Organization: Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive issues concurrently.
