This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Guide clients through Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification and recertification processes.
• Perform gap assessments, technical verification tasks, and certification evaluations for Cyber Essentials.
• Offer practical, business-oriented security guidance.
• Ensure clients are updated on scheme modifications and cybersecurity best practices.
• Foster trusted relationships with clients throughout the certification journey.
• Execute certification engagements with accuracy, efficiency, and within the established timelines.
• Serve as the principal point of contact for clients.
• Lead onboarding sessions, progress evaluations, and certification meetings with clients.
• Articulate technical findings, risks, and remediation suggestions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations and address any issues or escalations that arise.
• Assist in pre-sales discussions by providing technical insights.
• Generate client documentation and deliverables pertinent to certification.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes, templates, and delivery methodologies.
• Uphold Cognisys’ own Cyber Essentials certification.
• Collaborate with the GRC Consulting team to enhance client outcomes and service delivery.
• Handle multiple client engagements concurrently.
• Aid in service enhancements, internal knowledge sharing, and the ongoing expansion of the Cyber Essentials practice.
• In-depth working knowledge of the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification frameworks.
• Experience in delivering, supporting, or evaluating Cyber Essentials engagements.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Background in conducting security assessments, compliance evaluations, or technical verification activities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements at once.
• Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable working collaboratively across both technical and consulting teams.
• Cyber Essentials Assessor status or prior experience as a Cyber Essentials Assessor is preferred.
• Previous experience in cybersecurity or professional services consulting with client interaction is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST, or CIS Controls is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, or endpoint security technologies is a plus.
• Experience supporting broader governance, risk, and compliance initiatives is desirable.
• Highly regarded certifications include Cyber Essentials Assessor, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Security Certifications (SC Series), and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor.
