This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct the entire customer onboarding risk assessment procedure from inception to completion.
• Distribute, analyze, and assess customer compliance questionnaires.
• Organize meetings with customers, Operations, and Sales teams to review assessment outcomes and collect further information.
• Identify and evaluate compliance risks associated with customs valuation, tariff classification, Right to Make Entry, PGA requirements, duties, related party transactions, terms of sale, and other import compliance issues.
• Document findings, convey risks, and escalate issues to the leadership of Trade Compliance Services.
• Design, execute, and oversee corrective action plans in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor corrective action progress and escalate concerns when adequate progress is not achieved.
• Examine customs entry documentation and supporting records for adherence to customs regulations and customer standards.
• Propose corrective actions, process enhancements, and compliance best practices.
• Create and maintain parts databases and associated compliance records.
• Foster and sustain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders as a reliable compliance resource.
• Keep abreast of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, tariff and HTSUS modifications, PGA requirements, and other trade compliance updates.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
• Must be a licensed Customs Broker.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five (5) years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, customs valuation, HTS classification, Right to Make Entry requirements, commercial invoice standards, and import compliance programs.
• Proven experience in conducting compliance reviews, evaluating risk, and formulating corrective action recommendations.
• Familiarity with E2open software is preferred.
• Experience in running and analyzing ACE reports is preferred.
• Capability to perform compliance reviews, assess risk, identify deficiencies, and propose practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to primarily work in a sedentary office role involving frequent keyboarding/computer work (67%–100% of the workday).
• Regular use of hands and fingers, ability to talk and hear; occasional walking is required.
• Close vision and the ability to focus are necessary.
• Occasional travel of less than 10% of the time.
