This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret ACE and internal system reports to oversee customs compliance and pinpoint areas for process enhancement.
• Utilize Excel, Power BI, and various data analytics tools to assess trends, identify anomalies, and recognize compliance risks.
• Conduct data analysis, reconciliations, regulatory research, and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and uphold compliance KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
• Perform root cause analyses and suggest corrective and preventive measures.
• Execute advanced HTS classifications and offer product classification guidance.
• Evaluate and reduce trade compliance risks associated with tariff exposure, free trade agreements, valuation, country of origin, and other regulations.
• Prepare and submit Post Summary Corrections, duty tenders, protests, prior disclosures, and other customs documentation.
• Stay updated on laws, regulations, industry guidelines, the Federal Register, CSMS messages, International Trade Today, and Deringer requirements.
• Analyze regulatory changes and relay their implications to department leadership.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research and share actionable insights.
• Collaborate closely with clients, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, internal stakeholders, and the compliance team.
• Travel occasionally, less than 10% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Customs Compliance, Data Science/Analytics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related international trade setting.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with HTS classification and customs compliance regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience in developing KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
• Capacity to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
• Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and sound decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Licensed Customs Broker designation is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Access, or other data analytics tools is preferred.
• Prior experience in technical, regulatory, or customs compliance fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
• Capability to perform mainly sedentary office work with frequent keyboarding/computer tasks.
• Ability to regularly use hands and fingers, talk, and hear; occasional walking; close vision and focusing capability.
