This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee the technical components of long-term service agreements and warranty commitments.
β’ Address system issues swiftly and proactively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through open communication and by anticipating customer requirements.
β’ Maintain comprehensive system logs that compile all data pertaining to failures in synchronous condenser projects.
β’ Assess system malfunctions and equipment failures by analyzing event logs and transient recordings, and offer solutions to problems encountered on-site.
β’ Design, execute, and evaluate maintenance programs and testing procedures to enhance the availability, reliability, and performance of synchronous condenser installations.
β’ Assist site teams during commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of synchronous condenser systems by examining site plans and offering technical guidance during site visits.
β’ Occasionally engage in fieldwork, which includes commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting synchronous condenser systems.
β’ Review site documentation related to commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts for synchronous condenser systems.
β’ Provide technical assistance to the tender/procurement team in sourcing FACTS devices and related equipment.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
β’ Familiarity with rotating machinery (generators or synchronous condensers).
β’ Experience in the maintenance and commissioning of high-voltage equipment.
β’ Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French. The candidate will need to communicate effectively with colleagues at various locations, including those outside Canada, where English is the primary working language.
β’ Proven ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
β’ Capability to document work, prepare technical reports, and organize on-site activities.
β’ Understanding of control and protection systems for high-voltage equipment and substations.
β’ 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
