This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct live video onboarding sessions with new clients to gather essential business information and complete bookkeeping setup (including bank/credit card integrations, historical bookkeeping requirements, etc.).
• Assist clients through chat and email by addressing bookkeeping inquiries, diagnosing problems, and driving prompt and empathetic resolutions.
• Keep precise customer notes and status updates in internal systems to ensure effective follow-through and seamless transitions.
• Work collaboratively with other teams at Layer to enhance workflows and gather product feedback based on recurring customer requirements.
• Surpass partner and client expectations by delivering considerate, proactive, and detail-oriented support.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (support, onboarding, etc.) or in bookkeeping.
• Understanding of small business bookkeeping principles and fundamental financial concepts.
• Exceptional live communication and active listening abilities.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
