This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct field assessments and validations of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
• Ensure adherence to NEC, ASME, AWS, ASTM, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Create and implement QA inspection and testing plans for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform equipment and system evaluations, torque assessments, and alignment checks.
• Lead investigations into root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures for nonconformities.
• Assist with field installation QA/QC, including reviewing documentation, redlines, and verifying turnover packages.
• Audit suppliers and subcontractors to verify product quality and compliance with UL, CSA, and NRTL standards.
• Maintain QA documentation, including NCRs, inspection reports, and test data logs.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and field supervisors to resolve quality issues and enhance processes.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to QA technicians and field inspectors.
• Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance or field engineering within industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with team members, supervisors, and clients.
• Proven experience with ISO 9001, NFPA 70E, NEC, ASME, ASTM, and relevant quality standards.
• Practical experience in field commissioning, inspection, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification (General Industry or Electrical Safety).
• Strong knowledge of FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and control plans.
• Highly experienced in mechanical systems, particularly in cooling and design aspects.
• Proficient with CMM, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.
• Safety-minded and detail-oriented.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Proactive and adaptable to dynamic field conditions.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement and achieving quality excellence.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
• NFPA CESCP, ASME GDTP, or NETA Level II Certification is preferred.
