Customer Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• The Customer Quality Engineer will represent Quality for various 3M customers in the Chennai region, collaborating closely with them to comprehend their current, future, and potential Quality needs and concerns, and addressing these with the CFT to drive resolution through corrective, preventive, or improvement actions.

• This CQE role is crucial for ensuring prompt resolution of customer issues and averting any disruptions to assembly operations.

• Furthermore, this position will actively gather customer feedback at FATP (Final assembly and testing plant) sites, enhance customer engagement, and consistently support improvements in the overall customer quality experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Managing customer complaints and implementing containment actions to prevent line issues or stoppages.

• Leading permanent corrective and preventive actions in coordination with technical and plant teams.

• Ensuring timely closure of CAPA on customer portals.

• Negotiating and persuading customers in instances where concerns arise at their end, provided there is no quality issue with the 3M product.

• Regularly visiting customers to maintain the Quality rhythm.

• Participating in trials at customer lines for new products and addressing potential Quality concerns.

• Providing insights to CFT and manufacturing plants regarding new products and customer complaints based on observations made at customer sites for necessary corrective or preventive actions.

• Collaborating closely with global technical and quality teams.

• Leading projects aimed at achieving customer quality targets to reach zero defects.

• Taking part in project planning processes.

• Assisting in defining project objectives and priorities.

• Staying informed about Quality matters and working alongside the regional Technical and sales teams.

• Leading customer meetings focused on Quality complaints and improvements.
