Customer Due Diligence Analyst – Onboarding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough evaluations of new Mettle account applications and make just, proportionate decline decisions when necessary.

• Recognize and alleviate economic crime risks, escalating issues effectively when required.

• Adhere to NatWest Group policies and follow NatWest Boxed procedures.

• Improve processes for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency.

• Analyze KYC/KYB check reports and application data to avert application fraud and comprehend the nature and purpose of accounts.

• Assess name-screening alerts for PEPs, sanctions, and negative press, escalating genuine matches or making justified discounting decisions.

• Investigate application fraud and other economic crime alerts utilizing internal and external databases, including UID and Cifas.

• Engage with customers, manage chats within service level agreements (SLAs), and communicate clearly in Mettle's supportive tone.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in customer due diligence, economic crime prevention, or related fields such as AML, PEPs/Sanctions, KYC/KYB.

• Understanding of customer due diligence or financial crime.

• Recognized qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

• Strong communication abilities and a focus on achieving positive customer outcomes.

• An inquisitive and analytical mindset with the capability to apply a risk-based approach to high workloads.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English.
