This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Cruise Consultant provides highly customized services to both existing and prospective clients.
• The individual in this role is expected to manage all aspects of booking a client’s vacation with minimal oversight.
• Cruise Consultants must be knowledgeable about all products and procedures at Cruise Specialists and have established sales targets to achieve.
• Our shared objective is to guarantee an impeccable experience and exceptional service for Cruise Specialists clients.
• Conduct research and create proposals to present to clients.
• Offer clear and precise pricing, along with the advantages of choosing Cruise Specialists.
• Recommend all ancillary services including insurance, hotels, and air transportation.
• Process quote requests from all lead sources promptly and enter transaction details into the Agent Mate reservation system.
• Follow up when appropriate.
• Ensure clients obtain all necessary information for their vacation, including travel requirements, visas, final payment notices, and other reminders.
• Capable of booking cruise reservations with all cruise lines, utilizing online booking engines when feasible.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to existing, new, and referred clients.
• Address client concerns as they arise and escalate to management when necessary.
• Participate in additional duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Sales.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the travel industry is required, with a preference for experience in the cruise market.
• Familiarity with most cruise lines, ships, and global destinations.
• Knowledgeable in various Cruise Line booking tools.
• Proven exceptional sales and customer service capabilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Zoom, and able to learn new technologies quickly.
• Friendly demeanor with a natural inclination to exceed expectations.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member; self-motivated.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Skilled at recognizing when management involvement is necessary.
• Capacity to absorb and retain a large volume of information or maintain easily accessible records.
• Experience in a Cruise Line or Travel Agency is mandatory.
