Crop Insurance Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Initiate contact with policyholders on farms or ranches that have recently experienced a loss.

• Conduct investigations to identify the causes and extent of the loss.

• Refer any unresolved issues or concerns to the Area Claims Supervisor.

• Explain regulations and procedural interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals regarding claims.

• Articulate our stance on emerging industry topics such as new specialty crops or the expansion of coverage programs.

• Continuously enhance your understanding of RMA rules and regulations as well as ProAg procedures for implementing all MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance regulations.

• Operate in the field on farms, including climbing grain bins and traversing rough terrain for extended distances.

• A high school diploma is required.

• Experience in crop insurance regarding claims or compliance, or any related agricultural background is preferred.

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in basic computer and internet applications.

• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

• A reliable mode of transportation and a readiness to travel.

• Preferred completion of the Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification and/or any relevant licenses mandated by State agencies.
