Crisis Counselor Supervisor, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute active rescues when texter safety is assessed as being in imminent danger.

• Supervise volunteer Crisis Counselor interactions to ensure adherence to training and quality support standards.

• Collaborate with volunteer Crisis Counselors to impart coping strategies and implement safety protocols during high-risk scenarios.

• Aid volunteer Crisis Counselors in recognizing texter needs and formulating support and safety plans.

• Ensure compliance of volunteer Crisis Counselors with the code of conduct and escalate issues as necessary.

• Deliver immediate feedback regarding the quality of conversations.

• Engage in training sessions and internal workgroups to enhance the quality of service delivery.

• Offer real-time guidance and assistance to remote volunteer Crisis Counselors.

• Intervene in texter conversations as required, providing leadership in high-risk situations, including active rescues and mandatory reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of crisis intervention experience outside of volunteer work.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish, encompassing written and verbal communication.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts beyond assigned hours, up to 12 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

• Capability to adhere to the specified schedule.

• Intermediate proficiency in G-suite and communication software applications.

• Experience in a call center environment.

• Availability to attend daytime meetings with prior notice as needed.

• Willingness to accommodate daytime training and onboarding during the initial weeks.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
