This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise and guide teams engaged in track construction and rail yard operations
• Organize and manage materials, equipment, and workforce for projects
• Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in alignment with FRA regulations and company policies
• Monitor daily crew activities to guarantee efficiency, quality, and safety standards
• Facilitate training and onboarding processes for new staff
• Track project progress and modify plans as necessary to adhere to deadlines
• Assist in cost management and optimize resource utilization
• Carry out additional responsibilities as required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction
• Preferably 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
• In-depth understanding of track construction, maintenance, and defect detection
• Capability to operate and instruct others on heavy machinery (backhoe, front-end loader)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in reading and interpreting instructions, procedures, and safety regulations
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Capacity to lift and move equipment (up to approximately 75 lbs)
• Must pass a drug screening and background investigation
• Certification required for working on FRA-regulated tracks (as applicable)
