This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead underwriting initiatives for intricate loan applications by evaluating creditworthiness and proposing risk-reducing structures.
• Consistently oversee the designated loan portfolio to detect credit risks, emerging trends, and financial performance issues.
• Collaborate with relationship managers during negotiations and client interactions.
• Review and negotiate credit agreements in conjunction with legal teams.
• Offer guidance and training to junior credit professionals.
• Identify and highlight areas for improvement within credit processes and procedures.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion for decisions related to the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze and resolve issues pertaining to the portfolio.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
• Comply with regulatory, compliance, and relevant legal standards.
• Complete mandatory compliance training.
• Bachelor’s degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Expertise in advanced financial modeling and risk assessment.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and a collaborative approach with clients.
• Experience in structuring complex loan transactions.
• Ability to analyze macroeconomic trends and their effects on credit risk.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry-specific credit risks and commercial credit transaction structuring.
• Skill in identifying credit risks and recommending strategies for mitigation.
• Experience in managing complex portfolios while complying with credit policies.
• Capacity to effectively communicate credit decisions to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead loan structuring and closing processes with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with credit agreements, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools, CRM systems, and underwriting software.
• Ability to foster effective stakeholder relationships and deliver customized client solutions.
