This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze intricate financing structures and the associated collateral pools, including ABS transactions and warehouse facilities.
• Develop trend reports to monitor actual performance versus modeled performance across various structural features such as credit enhancements, advance rates, covenants, loss triggers, and prepayment rates.
• Evaluate the impact of structural components on deal performance and return profiles.
• Construct and maintain financial models to project returns on consumer loan portfolios and funding expenses.
• Assist in formulating pricing strategies for new consumer loans to maximize profitability and risk-adjusted returns.
• Perform sensitivity analyses (e.g., default rates, credit costs, product structure) to guide pricing and risk mitigation choices.
• Recommend interest rates, yield targets, and advance rates informed by data insights and market benchmarks.
• Aid in structuring financing transactions by proposing credit enhancements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assess and recommend collateral requirements, triggers, and covenants (e.g., delinquency or loss triggers).
• Collaborate with senior team members to enhance deal structures for investor protection and capital efficiency.
• Work alongside Credit, Finance, Capital Markets, and Servicing teams to develop reporting and financial models.
• Partner with Credit Analytics to ensure alignment in assumptions and outputs.
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is essential, or equivalent professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in credit analysis, financial modeling, or a similar role within the financial services sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of credit risk fundamentals and structured finance products.
• Familiarity with consumer lending products (e.g., personal loans, auto loans, credit cards, student loans) and their funding structures (ABS, warehouse facilities).
• Knowledge of credit metrics such as FICO, debt-to-income ratios, default rates, and credit enhancement techniques.
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with portfolio analysis techniques (e.g., cohort, vintage/static pool analysis).
• Experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting complex analyses clearly.
• Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally and fostering effective working relationships.
