This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.
• In the role of Creative Investment Partner, you will collaborate with Parrot Analytics and affiliated film funds to evaluate projects and influence investment decisions.
• Concept Evaluation: Your responsibility will be to assess scripts, treatments, and development materials submitted to partner funds, providing clear written evaluations that guide greenlight and development choices.
• Project Assessment: Working in tandem with Parrot Analytics’ global data and insights teams, the Creative Investment Partner will analyze submitted projects and offer strategic recommendations on which narratives should progress into development or production funding.
• Integration of Data: Your creative insights will be enriched by Parrot Analytics’ global audience demand data and market intelligence, offering an understanding of how projects might connect with audiences across various regions and platforms.
• Content Portfolio Development: You will assist in identifying projects with remarkable creative and cultural potential, elevating them for consideration by the investment committee. Additionally, you will help in curating a balanced and strategically aligned slate, ensuring that supported projects feature unique storytelling alongside strong audience appeal.
• Editorial Contributions: When suitable, you may also provide editorial insights and development feedback to enhance promising projects as they navigate through the funding process.
• Arabic Domain Expertise: This position also requires maintaining a keen awareness of trends in Arabic-language cinema, emerging filmmakers, regional production activities, as well as international festival and distribution landscapes.
• We seek candidates who possess strong creative sensibilities, cultural awareness, and development judgment.
• Preferred backgrounds include:
• - Film or television development executive
• - Script editor or story consultant
• - Producer with substantial development experience
• - Evaluator for film funds or commissioning bodies
• - Festival programmer with a focus on Arab or international cinema
• Ideal candidates will have:
• - Professional experience in film or television development, production, or script assessment
• - In-depth knowledge of Arabic-language cinema and regional storytelling
• - Strong understanding of international film markets, festivals, and distribution channels
• - The ability to assess scripts with both creative sensitivity and a strategic viewpoint
• - Fluency in both Arabic and English
• - Excellent written communication and analytical abilities
