This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise intricate tax preparation and strategic planning.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international tax regulations.
• Offer strategic guidance for a diverse clientele.
• Prepare and evaluate individual and corporate federal tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065).
• Prepare and review adjusting journal entries and calculated-to-tax variances for business returns.
• Prepare and analyze reconciliations for tax depreciation, gain & loss calculations, and asset roll forwards.
• Review U.S. international tax calculations and workpapers, including forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8804, and 1042.
• Prepare Texas Franchise Tax reports and state income tax returns.
• Manage extensions and quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments.
• Conduct tax research utilizing available tools and software.
• Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Address notices from tax authorities and manage tax audits.
• Over 10 years of CPA certification (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of experience in U.S. federal and state tax compliance.
• Experience in international tax compliance (preferred).
• Proficient in Thomson Reuters Tax Software (mandatory).
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, organization, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Capability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities.
