Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver legal support and guidance in areas such as counseling related to artificial intelligence (AI), litigation, and e-Discovery.

• Assist in legal evaluations concerning the creation and implementation of AI products and systems.

• Offer analysis and counsel regarding compliance with AI regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with AI product developers, engineers, data scientists, various business and legal teams, providing advice on relevant laws and risk management strategies.

• Aid in drafting guidance, strategies, and governance documents related to AI.

• Support AI-related litigation, regulatory inquiries, and information requests.

• Provide e-Discovery counseling throughout the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).

• Build proactive and trustworthy relationships with clients and other members of the Law department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Active status in good standing within at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience in law firm and/or in-house counsel positions.

• Essential knowledge of issues impacting AI/ML and Generative AI.

• Experience in identifying risks and making informed risk recommendations while balancing rewards and business objectives.
