This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, assess, and negotiate laboratory services agreements (LSAs), electronic medical record (EMR) integration agreements, and other contractual arrangements related to Adaptive’s clonoSEQ assay.
• Spearhead internal initiatives focused on risk management and compliance with government contract stipulations.
• Collaborate closely with privacy and compliance attorneys, as well as teams in market access, marketing, finance, security, and operations to identify issues and thoroughly assess and mitigate risks.
• Assist with NDAs, vendor contract assessments, and vendor management issues.
• Provide guidance and manage internal inquiries regarding routine legal matters within the diagnostic clonoSEQ sector.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract templates, negotiation strategies, company policies, and other legal processes to enhance value and efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging laws, regulations, and industry trends that impact Adaptive.
• Juris Doctorate from a nationally accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• Minimum of 5+ years of prior in-house or law firm experience delivering transactional legal advice.
• Willingness to travel at least 1-2 times per year for in-person team or department meetings.
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a law firm setting.
• Background in the biotech and/or life sciences sector, particularly with a diagnostics company (preferred).
• Knowledge or experience with FARs, DFARs, and other government contracting regulations and terms (preferred).
• Proven client service orientation (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written business communication abilities (preferred).
