Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assisting the client with procurement strategies, which includes vendor prequalification, bid assessment, and managing the appointment process.

• Aiding in the creation of comprehensive cost estimates that encompass construction expenses, fees, and various project costs.

• Contributing to the formulation and upkeep of cost plans that are in line with early works, site development, and heavy civil projects.

• Assisting in the evaluation of contractor and vendor proposals, including bid comparisons and commercial assessments.

• Supporting value engineering initiatives and risk evaluations by assessing cost and constructability implications.

• Keeping track of project budgets, spending forecasts, and commercial risk registers with supervision.

• Engaging in regular cost review meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Monitoring and analyzing change orders while providing recommendations to the client.

• Aiding in efforts to prevent and resolve disputes related to payments and change management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in cost management within the construction sector, with experience in large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil projects.

• Background in supporting dynamic construction programs that involve substantial site development elements.

• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is preferred.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.

• Candidates must reside in the United States and hold legal authorization to work in the U.S.; remote work is only allowed within the United States.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
