This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Work collaboratively with project sponsors and stakeholder groups to gain a clear understanding of project scope.
• Employ an established parametric estimating tool to create parametric estimates.
• Use existing estimating templates to produce assembly-level cost estimates for various projects.
• Lead efforts to identify necessary changes to the parametric estimating tool.
• Utilize comparisons of estimates versus actual costs from projects to refresh and update cost data.
• Revise the current cost data in the parametric estimating tool.
• Enhance the coordination of estimates to prevent duplication and overlap in estimate scope.
• Provide training to estimators on updated tools and support the development of standard work instructions.
• Demonstrate the ability to use estimating software for generating cost estimates and navigating the QAQC process.
• Participate in client and company meetings as required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in cost estimating, specifically in developing estimate packages for design and construction.
• Experience in estimating construction projects for energy utilities and/or above/below grade civil estimating.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Knowledgeable in AACE Cost Engineering Practices and the TCM framework.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Estimating Systems such as Sage is an advantage.
• Understanding of process improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.
