This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns (corporate, VAT, indirect taxes, and other relevant taxes) across various jurisdictions.
• Review tax submissions and assist in managing audits, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities, including coordination with external tax specialists.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
• Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Identify and evaluate tax risks associated with operations in multiple jurisdictions and collaborate with the business to mitigate these risks.
• Keep abreast of changes in local and international tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide updates to senior management.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies across various jurisdictions, reducing tax liabilities while adhering to local laws.
• Offer insights on the tax implications of international expansion and cross-border transactions.
• Monitor the tax positions adopted by the company, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and minimizing the risk of audits and penalties.
• Work closely with finance and legal teams to evaluate tax implications for business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.
• Serve as the primary contact for tax-related inquiries from various departments (e.g., legal, finance, HR, operations).
• Collaborate with finance and operations team members to enhance tax efficiency and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
• Supervise the work of external tax consultants and advisors as necessary.
• Promote a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the organization, providing training and support as required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in tax, with exposure to international tax issues and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes across various tax jurisdictions.
• Experience with transfer pricing regulations and the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of international tax treaties and their impact on business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategies that support business goals.
• Proficient in financial systems, such as Netsuite and PowerBI.
