Corporate Senior Associate, 6+ PQE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a team of outstanding lawyers to provide high-quality work and an exceptional experience for every client you engage with.

• Represent a highly diverse clientele, assisting them with a wide array of needs, such as capital raising (Seed, Series A, Series B, and beyond), buying and selling businesses, employee incentive programs, shareholder agreements, share buy-backs, business structuring, loans, corporate governance, and various general commercial law matters.

• Primarily focus on capital raising and M&A activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years’ PQE with substantial experience in general corporate and commercial law, along with capital raising transactions, preferably representing SMEs, founder-led businesses, and growth-stage companies.

• Proven experience in advising private companies on capital raising transactions, including both equity and convertible instruments.

• Strong comprehension of the legal and commercial obstacles faced by SMEs, encompassing growth, governance, investor relations, and operational scaling.

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating investment documents, governance documents, and related corporate and commercial documentation.

• Capability to articulate complex legal issues in a clear, practical, and commercially understandable manner to non-legal stakeholders.

• Excellent project management abilities with the capacity to independently manage matters while juggling multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating within a high-performing team.
