This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as a vital legal business partner facilitating high-priority projects across clinical development, R&D, IT, operations, and corporate departments.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and provide counsel on a wide array of complex agreements, which include Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), Ancillary clinical agreements (SCCs, LOIs, DRAs, LRAs), Informed Consent Forms (ICFs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs) along with Statements of Work, CRO and vendor agreements, Technology and IT contracts, Consulting agreements, and Confidential Disclosure/NDA agreements.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, CROs, vendors, and business leaders to advance initiatives effectively.
• Provide guidance on legal and regulatory aspects affecting pharmaceutical R&D, clinical operations, contracting, and data privacy.
• Assist with wider legal department initiatives, special projects, and adapting business needs in a fast-paced growth setting.
• Contribute to the development of scalable legal processes that foster innovation while safeguarding the organization.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of in-house legal experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or clinical-stage healthcare organizations.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating clinical and commercial agreements within regulated life sciences sectors.
• Strong familiarity with: Securities contract experience is essential.
• Clinical trial contracting expertise is required.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of data privacy issues relevant to clinical research.
• Experience in vendor and service contracting.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to balance legal risks against practical execution.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented, highly responsive, and collaborative in methodology.
• Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese is preferred.
