This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily operations at various locations concerning scheduling, intake, and registration within the therapy services and rehabilitation departments throughout the organization.
• Evaluate the performance of each site in relation to patient access to meet organizational objectives (such as access to care, cancellation/no-show rates, work queues, etc.) and provide assistance as needed.
• Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the enterprise to establish a sustainable model for therapy services and rehabilitation that aligns with Shriners Children's vision.
• Enhance outcomes and workflows for all patient interactions with patient access to minimize waste, eliminate barriers to care, and reduce cancellation/no-show rates.
• Ensure that work queues are managed promptly and adjust resources to provide assistance whenever necessary.
• Support locations in optimizing and maintaining current scheduling templates to improve therapists’ availability and patient access to care.
• Assess and assist locations in reducing cancellation and no-show rates by implementing established system standards.
• Collaborate with the authorization and revenue cycle teams to ensure workflows secure authorization for the treatments provided.
• Manage patient access staff remotely as assigned.
• Aid in the technical testing of Epic upgrades and optimizations to minimize downtime and technical issues upon implementation.
• Partner closely with the Corporate Manager of Therapy Services – Clinical Operations to enhance the patient experience from check-in to departure.
• Assist the Corporate Manager of Therapy Services – Clinical Operations in acquiring and maintaining reports related to key performance indicators of the system.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in intake, scheduling, and registration in the healthcare sector.
• Proficient in utilizing Epic for intake, scheduling, and registration processes.
• Capable of documenting workflows and creating guidelines for patient access staff.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Familiarity with Visio or a similar workflow tool is preferred.
• Previous experience managing patient access personnel is preferred.
• Proven track record in an educational role is preferred.
