This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and develop interactive reports and dashboards leveraging Power BI to present complex data sets visually.
• Design and enhance Power BI DAX measures for calculating essential performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Utilize Microsoft Power Query for data transformation and cleansing processes.
• Investigate and incorporate additional data sources, including those from Snowflake.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all reporting outputs.
• Continuously enhance and optimize existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and changing business needs.
• Promote the usage of reports and dashboards by tracking report utilization and gathering customer feedback.
• Execute complete end-to-end development of BI reporting needs, from gathering requirements to schema creation and ultimately publishing production-ready dashboards and reports.
• Convert business requirements into production reports for assigned internal departments and business users.
• Oversee the designated Microsoft Teams channel and communication with business stakeholders.
• Manage Power BI Workspaces, including report access utilizing RLS (Role Level Security).
• Support the updating and maintenance of departmental confluence pages.
• Use the Jira ticketing system to monitor and update requests from the business.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data visualization.
• Maintain regular communication with designated business units to enhance collaboration and establish delivery expectations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Over 2 years of experience in developing reports/visualizations and analyzing data using a BI toolset (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAS, Excel).
• Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Knowledge of data security management, governance, and PHI.
• Familiarity with issue/project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, SharePoint, etc.).
• Basic understanding of Power BI and the creation of DAX measures.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• General understanding of database and reporting terminology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
