Core Measures Abstractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reviews patient medical records and extracts data for designated Core Measures.

• Accurately and consistently applies specifications, definitions, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and abstraction guidelines.

• Analyzes clinical documentation regarding diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, discharge instructions, contraindications, exclusions, and associated quality measures.

• Inputs precise and complete data into designated platforms, EHRs, vendor tools, or other data collection systems.

• Upholds a high standard of abstraction accuracy, completeness, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Achieves assigned productivity benchmarks, weekly progress objectives, and both internal and client deadlines.

• Engages in quality assurance activities, including providing feedback, making corrections, validation, and conducting IRR reviews.

• Interacts professionally with account leads, team members, and client contacts when clarification is necessary.

• Adheres to strict confidentiality protocols and complies with ADN, client, HIPAA, and data security regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Core Measures abstraction.

• Capability to independently abstract Core Measures cases utilizing measure specifications and clinical documentation.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare quality reporting, abstraction, clinical documentation review, and medical record interpretation.

• Competence to work autonomously with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.

• Comfort in navigating multiple EHRs, abstraction platforms, vendor tools, and data collection systems as required.

• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.
