This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as a vital member of the card conversion team, providing assistance on assigned projects and addressing client support inquiries.
• Aid in the development, maintenance, and updates of existing C++ software for data modification within Db2 environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate project requirements by examining software objectives, input data, and resulting outputs.
• Conduct functional testing of software before code reviews and client delivery.
• Facilitate data migration by executing data cleanup, basic troubleshooting, and running predefined programs.
• Revise, repair, or enhance existing programs to boost operational efficiency or meet new requirements.
• Craft and optimize Db2 SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Ensure quality is maintained and optimized through required testing.
• Engage in weekly meetings and code reviews to discuss project progress and gather best practices from senior developers.
• Provide on-call support after hours for client projects.
• Develop clear technical documentation for new, improved, and existing software to aid in knowledge transfer.
• Undertake other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in C++ is essential.
• Familiarity with SQL, Linux, Shell Commands, and APIs.
• Understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.
• Knowledge of relational databases, particularly Db2.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities are a must.
• Analytical skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience with Agile methodology is advantageous.
• Understanding of credit union products and services is a plus.
