This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing operations and logistics, managing the entire operations function that encompasses warehousing, freight, inventory, and fulfillment, while collaborating with a national network of 3PL and warehouse partners, selecting carriers, and handling specialized freight for heavy, oversized, and hazardous materials such as transformers and lithium-ion batteries.

• Establishing metrics and cadence, maintaining the KPIs and operational rhythm of the organization, which includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews, dashboards, and clear accountability aligned with the strategic plan.

• Evaluating team and structure, providing an honest assessment of the current team, and ensuring the right individuals are placed in appropriate roles to enable the company to establish realistic targets on a solid foundation.

• Developing sales and business development infrastructure, encompassing the pipeline, forecasting, CRM, deal desk, and pricing discipline that connects commercial activities to capacity without interfering with customer relationships.

• Implementing systems and technology strategies, overseeing the rollout of the core operational stack (WMS, TMS, CRM, and ERP), along with reporting that provides leadership with genuine visibility.

• Ensuring compliance and commercial legal functions are scalable, addressing DOT hazmat and oversized-load permitting, as well as overseeing the commercial contract and deal-review process.

• Providing leadership by coaching a team of seasoned operations leaders, managing offshore support partners, and serving as a true strategic collaborator with the CEO, Board, and fellow executives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building operational structures within a growing company, with tangible evidence of past challenges faced.

• At least 15 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or general management, including a minimum of 8 years in a senior executive role (COO, VP or SVP of Operations, GM, or similar).

• A solid track record of constructing operational systems from the ground up, encompassing KPIs, cadence, planning, and processes, demonstrating that you have built these systems rather than merely inherited them.

• Genuine logistics or distribution experience with heavy industrial or renewable energy products (transformers, batteries, trackers, modules, or similar equivalents).

• Practical experience leading WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM projects from the decision-making stage to go-live, rather than just utilizing these systems.

• Experience managing a multi-site or contracted 3PL network at scale.

• The credibility to collaborate effectively with a CEO, Board, and President-level colleagues, along with the temperament to lead by creating valuable tools that other leaders want to utilize instead of focusing solely on P&L ownership.

• A genuinely hands-on approach and comfort in scaling a founder-led or growth-stage organization.

• Preferred qualifications include direct experience in solar, storage, or renewable energy distribution; familiarity with NetSuite; a background in a PE-backed or founder-led company; and knowledge of structured operating models such as EOS or Traction.
