This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire operations function, encompassing warehousing, freight, inventory, and fulfillment, which includes a nationwide network of 3PL and warehouse partners, carrier selection, and specialized freight for heavy, oversized, and hazardous materials like transformers and lithium-ion batteries.
• Manage the KPIs and operational cadence of the organization, which entails weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews, dashboards, and clear accountability aligned with the strategic plan.
• Conduct an honest assessment of the current team, followed by the task of placing the right individuals in the appropriate roles to enable the company to set realistic targets based on a stable foundation.
• Oversee the pipeline, forecasting, CRM, deal desk, and pricing discipline that links commercial activities to capacity, ensuring that customer relationships remain intact.
• Develop and implement strategy for the core operational stack (WMS, TMS, CRM, and ERP), along with reporting mechanisms that provide leadership with genuine visibility.
• Establish a compliance function designed for scalability, addressing DOT hazmat and oversized-load permitting, in addition to overseeing the commercial contract and deal-review process.
• Mentor a team of seasoned operations leaders, manage offshore support partners, and serve as a true strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and fellow executives.
• A minimum of 15 years in operations, supply chain, or general management, with at least 8 years in a senior executive role (COO, VP or SVP of Operations, GM, or similar).
• Proven track record of building operational systems from scratch, inclusive of KPIs, cadence, planning, and processes. You have constructed these systems rather than merely inheriting them.
• Tangible logistics or distribution experience with heavy industrial or renewable energy products (transformers, batteries, trackers, modules, or similar equivalents).
• Hands-on experience in leading WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM projects from decision-making to go-live, not just using these systems.
• Experience managing a multi-site or contracted 3PL network at scale.
• The credibility to collaborate with a CEO, Board, and President-level peers, coupled with the temperament to lead by creating systems that other leaders are eager to utilize rather than simply owning a P&L.
• A genuinely hands-on approach and the ability to scale within a founder-led or growth-stage business.
• Preferred: direct experience in solar, storage, or renewable energy distribution; familiarity with NetSuite; a background in a PE-backed or founder-led organization; and knowledge of a structured operating model such as EOS or Traction.
• Fully remote work environment, with flexible time off for leadership roles.
• A genuine seat at the table on a small, agile executive team, with the freedom to develop initiatives your way.
• An opportunity to guide the company through its next stage of growth and have a story to tell about your contributions.
• A competitive executive compensation package: base salary, performance bonus, and significant equity, allowing you to share in the growth you help to foster.
• Discretionary time off policy (effectively unlimited).
• Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance, along with various voluntary benefits.
• Options for FSA/HSA and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
• Employee discounts and referral bonuses.
• Opportunities for professional development and volunteer time off.
