Controls Project Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Offer engineering oversight and assistance for the retrofit control systems associated with Steam Turbine controls in Nuclear Power plants through collaboration with project managers.

• Take responsibility for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, effective execution, and optimal team performance.

• Ensure that all customer requirements are fulfilled, including adherence to any regulatory or technical standards, demonstrating traceability for compliance.

• Collaborate weekly with the Alliance Project Planner from our execution Alliance partner, reviewing project action items, task status, schedules, assessing project risks, and planning appropriate escalations.

• Work in coordination with the Technical Leader and Control Title Holder to address larger, complex challenges.

• Lead the project team to meet business Key Performance Indicators for On-Time Delivery (OTD) and maintain a First Pass Yield (FPY) mindset, while ensuring adherence to relevant design practices and procedures, thereby assuring product quality.

• Manage the Project Engineering hours budget and allocate them to the project teams.

• Oversee the Project Milestone schedules and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.

• Assist the commercial business team in reviewing customer bid specifications and in developing the technical scope of supply using structured products whenever feasible, while also devising new solutions as necessary to fulfill customer needs.

• Strengthen and ensure adherence to nuclear-specific and applicable non-nuclear technical regulations and standards within the engineering team.

• Provide technical guidance and oversight to responsible controls engineers for the planning and execution of customer witness tests in the factory test environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience, including a comprehensive understanding of power applications involving turbine-generator control systems for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or their respective Excitation Controls.

• Proficiency and experience with electrical and mechanical control systems.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a matrix management setting.
