This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.
• Oversee and support engineering efforts for retrofit control systems related to Steam Turbine controls in Nuclear Power plants by collaborating with project managers.
• Take responsibility for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, effective execution, and team performance.
• Offer support for controls upgrades in other units as necessary.
• Guarantee that all customer requirements are fulfilled, including regulatory and technical standards, with demonstrable traceability for compliance.
• Collaborate weekly with the Alliance Project Planner from our execution Alliance partner to review project action items, task statuses, schedules, assess project risks, and formulate appropriate escalation plans.
• Work in coordination with the Technical Leader and Control Title Holder to address larger, complex challenges.
• Lead the project team to meet business Key Performance Indicators for On-Time Delivery (OTD) and First Pass Yield (FPY), while ensuring adherence to applicable design practices and procedures to maintain product quality.
• Manage the Project Engineering hours budgets and allocate them effectively to the project team(s).
• Own and oversee the Project Milestone schedules, ensuring all deliverables are provided on time.
• Assist the commercial business team in reviewing customer-compliant bid specifications and developing technical scopes of supply using structured products whenever feasible, while innovating new solutions when required to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear-specific and relevant non-nuclear technical regulations and standards within the engineering team.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to responsible controls engineers for customer witness test planning and execution in the factory test environment, including proper documentation of test results and resolution of discrepancies identified during system testing.
• Evaluate contract documentation and customer specifications for technical implications.
• Offer mentorship, direction, and leadership to team members.
• Design systems that interface with existing turbine control equipment, assessing all system components, requirements, and interactions.
• Support customer meetings, factory acceptance testing, and the eventual installation and commissioning of control systems.
• Maintain regular interactions with customers and suppliers.
• Be prepared for up to 15% domestic and international travel as required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with a comprehensive understanding of power applications involving turbine-generator control systems for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or corresponding Excitation Controls.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical control systems.
• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a matrix management environment.
