
Controls Engineering Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily deployment and provide remote, as well as occasional in-person, support for technical resources catering to North American clients.
• Supervise technical assistance for midscale customized projects.
• Collaborate with other Comecer entities to manage equipment upgrades.
• Foster customer relationships and manage changes related to installed equipment.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure contract fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Initiate continuous improvement efforts and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Act as a subject matter expert for Controls software-related concerns and manage engineering escalations.
• Coordinate resources for service and installation to ensure successful project execution.
• Address customer escalations and engage in problem-solving activities.
• Oversee departmental ISO procedures and participate in relevant audits.
• Coach, mentor, and manage team members, including direct reports.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance reports and implement initiatives for improvement.
• Act as the primary customer contact for assigned projects, documenting events and issues throughout.
• Provide technical assistance for critical and custom customer installations.
• Coordinate equipment upgrades to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
• Manage warranty and non-warranty service opportunities with customers and the service department.
• Conduct needs assessments with installation teams and relay feedback to Comecer SPA.
• Assist with quotations and attend customer pre-order visits as needed.
• Manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and perform forecasting.
• Support installation, validation, and troubleshooting processes.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers, providing updates on projects.
• Create training documentation and practices for installation and service teams.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of project, configuration, activity, and contract records.
• Hold regular team meetings to maintain communication, morale, and efficiency.
• Manage projects and teams according to Comecer's established procedures.
• Advocate for customers, addressing concerns and escalating issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with account managers and assist Sales Engineering with quotations and customer interactions.
• Work with the Service and Quality Manager on budget preparation and forecasts.
• Liaise with Comecer Project Managers and Operations staff.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and manage technical personnel.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct hazard assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Ensure that employees receive HSE training and implement corrective measures for any unsafe conditions.
• Proven experience supervising Controls Systems Software Engineers and engineers stationed at customer facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of Controls software-related issues.
• Capability to manage technical support for midscale custom projects and equipment upgrades.
• Proficiency in coordinating service, installation, engineering, sales engineering, project management, operations, and quality teams.
• Experience in managing customer escalations and conducting effective problem-solving exercises.
• Familiarity with departmental ISO procedures, guidelines, templates, and best practices.
• Ability to adhere to company policies, including Time & Attendance and Expenses.
• Skills in coaching, mentoring, recruiting, training, inspiring, and managing technical staff.
• Experience in managing direct reports and providing performance feedback.
• Capability to deliver weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Experience in supporting custom midscale or key customer installations.
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and provide feedback via Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Proficiency in preparing presales analyses, Statements of Work, quotations, budgets, and forecasts.
• Experience in managing project risks and developing risk mitigation plans.
• Ability to document project execution details, configurations, activities, and contracts accurately.
• Capability to manage projects and project teams in alignment with company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Skills in conducting hazard assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Ability to implement corrective measures for unsafe conditions and actions.
• Capability to provide information, instruction, and supervision to employees.
• Adherence to the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
