📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Close: Oversee all facets of US accounting operations and consolidation, providing precise and timely financial statements in line with GAAP standards.

• Prepare for Growth: Reconstruct the accounting operations from the foundation, implementing best practices, standardizing processes, and developing the infrastructure essential for IPO readiness and future expansion.

• Enhance the Control Framework: Create, execute, and uphold a comprehensive system of internal controls that protects assets, guarantees reporting accuracy, and complies with SEC and regulatory standards.

• Lead and Nurture the Team: Supervise and develop a team of accountants, while also engaging as an individual contributor when necessary.

• Advocate for an Automation Mindset: Pinpoint opportunities where AI and automation can elevate the team's performance — transitioning tasks from manual preparation to high-level review and analysis.

• Act as a Key Financial Liaison: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, regulators, and investors, ensuring transparent and effective communication regarding the company's financial standing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in financial services is essential — you have experience in a fintech or consumer credit environment and grasp the intricate accounting involved.

• Over 10 years in accounting/finance, including experience in a leadership capacity; you're comfortable managing while also being hands-on.

• Proficient NetSuite user — you can configure, optimize, and maximize the platform's capabilities independently.

• An operator at heart — you have previously established or revamped accounting operations and understand what excellence entails for a company aiming for an IPO.

• Interested in automation — while you need not be an AI specialist, you should be enthusiastic about its implications for the future of accounting and keen to integrate that perspective into the team.

• Familiarity with SQL is advantageous — you should be at ease reading queries and collaborating cross-functionally with data and FP&A teams.
