This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Ensure appropriate application of US GAAP standards.

• Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring they are completed and presented to the client on time.

• Prepare special reports as needed by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Provide support for advanced accounting needs, including consolidations and intercompany eliminating entries.

• Oversee the allocation and tracking of depreciation, prepaid expenses, deposits, accruals, revenue, and payroll.

• Collaborate with client management to create internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.

• Aid client financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

• Work with client management to define and monitor financial KPIs.

• Conduct a final review of monthly work papers.

• Manage client engagement by overseeing internal teams.

• Foster and develop client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand client engagements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve client experience.

• Understand and monitor the budgeted hours for each client engagement on a monthly basis.

• Participate in company training sessions on various topics, including industry-specific accounting, soft skills, engagement management, and more.


⛳️ Requirements

• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including recent pronouncements and proposed updates.

• Comprehensive understanding of various accounting software, supporting technology stack (including third-party payers), and proficiency in Excel.

• Capability to work within the budgeted time for engagements while maintaining a high level of detail.

• Respectful and collaborative approach to managing internal staff as appropriate.

• Ability to work cooperatively with other staff in a team-oriented environment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a periodically stressful environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

• Proficiency in prioritizing tasks and efficiently managing time.

• Willingness and capability to train and mentor fellow team members.

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

• Problem-solving ability, including the interpretation and application of common sense from various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Ability to identify and evaluate client activities that may require additional information, research, or guidance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• CPA preferred.
