This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly and annual financial closing procedures, guaranteeing timely and precise consolidated financial statements across all subsidiaries of the company.

• Supervise the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger teams to achieve high-quality, customer-focused results.

• Continuously improve the utilization of the company's ERP system and integrate it with other platforms such as HRIS/payroll, site payment, and additional tools utilized within the organization.

• Enhance the documentation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Conduct necessary research and analysis regarding accounting matters and remain updated on evolving accounting standards and their implications for the company's accounting practices.

• Monitor global cash flow, manage transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, and oversee foreign currency hedging strategies.

• Collaborate with external auditors to produce annual audited financial statements.

• Coordinate with international tax advisors to ensure timely completion of tax returns and other regulatory submissions.

• Lead, coach, and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm.) degree.

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) professional designation.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in managing, motivating, and mentoring accounting teams.

• Proficient in financial software with experience in implementing and optimizing ERP systems and other accounting tools.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.

• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adjust to shifting priorities.

• Detail-oriented, with a focus on customer service and quality.

• Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication capabilities.
