This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, assess, and modify commercial contracts (statements of work, change orders, confidentiality agreements) utilizing UBC and Client standardized templates.
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce.com, including the ability to construct and modify budget grids in Microsoft Excel by employing formulas, macros, and data pulls.
• Collaborate across departments with proposals to develop, manage, and update contract budgets throughout the duration of an active Project.
• Negotiate, draft, assess, and modify key commercial contract terms with guidance from the legal department and “playbooks,” while identifying and escalating issues as necessary to various internal business stakeholders (legal, finance, operations, IT, privacy).
• Evaluate, analyze, and conduct due diligence on contract terms, providing advice to business stakeholders regarding contractual obligations (term and termination, budget and payment terms, scope of services, etc.).
• Oversee outsourcing/vendor management contracting activities to support vendor selection and negotiations of various types of Project agreements.
• Manage contract activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the contract/statements of work and change orders, from before or after verbal award notification, through full contract development, and culminating in obtaining signatures.
• Assist with contract management processes, including the development of templates and translations, documentation of contract template and revision approvals, signature processes, status tracking and reporting, scanning, filing, and archiving original agreements.
• Ensure the accuracy of contract templates, budgets, requirements, and timelines, making them available to Project teams as necessary.
• Monitor changes for potential impacts on templates.
• Facilitate pricing requests related to operational contract management as required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Preferred experience in the life sciences industry, particularly in clinical trial management, FDA approval, or patient access/support sectors.
• Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce.com.
• Previous experience with Contracts Management software is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while adapting to new initiatives in support of rapid growth and a high volume of contracts; a flexible, adaptive mindset along with a high level of emotional intelligence.
