This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Assist ISV partners with the packaging, publishing, and onboarding of applications into the Microsoft Store.
• Address technical challenges related to installers, Store dependencies, Windows Update, drivers, policies, and OS-level integrations.
• Guide partners in adopting appropriate architectures across Win32, .NET, UWP, WebView2, PWA, MSIX, and unpackaged app models.
• Develop small tools, sample applications, sandbox environments, and reference implementations to replicate and resolve partner issues.
• Create proof-of-concepts without altering client codebases.
• Provide targeted solutions across packaging workflows, SDK usage, and publishing processes.
• Collaborate with various Microsoft teams, including Windows Store, WinGet, Copilot, and platform engineering groups.
• Identify relevant internal stakeholders, escalate technical obstacles, and facilitate solutions across different teams.
• Assist with high-priority partner escalations in dynamic, cross-functional settings.
• Produce technical guides, internal playbooks, and reusable reference implementations based on insights gained from partners.
• Document best practices for packaging and onboarding standards for Microsoft teams and ISV partners.
• Help establish scalable technical guidance for future partner onboarding processes.
• Support outreach efforts to software vendors who have not yet started publishing in the Microsoft Store.
• Assist in qualifying leads, following up with ISVs, and promoting partner adoption initiatives.
• Over 5 years of experience with Windows applications and desktop software distribution.
• Strong knowledge of installers, drivers, OS-level APIs, software packaging, and Windows platform integrations.
• Experience with Win32, .NET, UWP, WebView2, PWAs, or similar desktop architectures.
• Background at companies that create and distribute commercial software products.
• Familiarity with packaging, deployment, signing, Store submission, and operating system integration.
• Ability to independently replicate issues, create sandbox environments, and build reference implementations.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities across low-level platform issues and technical uncertainties.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and senior engineers.
• Capable of clearly explaining technical trade-offs and proactively driving solutions.
• Strong ownership mentality with a proactive approach.
• Experience with MSIX, unpackaged apps, Xbox-to-Windows migration, PWA packaging, and Windows Store publishing is a plus.
• Familiarity with installer technologies like WiX is advantageous.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, SDK fixes, and CI publishing workflows is a plus.
• Data pipeline literacy (Spark, Fabric, large-scale systems) is an advantage.
• Experience utilizing AI tools such as Copilot for prototyping and workflow acceleration is beneficial.
• Prior experience at Microsoft is a significant advantage.
• Remote work opportunity within LATAM time zones (GMT-3 to GMT-5).
• Contractor position (40 hours per week).
